Gyrfalcon and Tundra Blog : Gyrfalcon Nest, early spring

Behold the view from a Gyrfalcon nest perched on a rocky ledge above an unnamed river in Western Alaska.  This is the daily work grind for our Alaska field team of Bryce and Ellen.  They have been working 10+ hour days installing cameras in remote nests.  With one more camera installation to go some down time will follow, and with that we hope that the blog postings will spilleth over.  Please hang on a few more days until we get our media act together, and expect lots of photos and stories from the field.
