Could this be proposed to state parks? I have been an avid hiker at a local park in Wisconsin and the only nest box I have seen is a lone wood duck house. The house was open and had no nesting materials. They also had a large removal off ash trees. Some of these were the largest in the park and contained plenty of good, natural cavities that could be used for nesting.
