I'm looking to touch base with any banders already active in the Wisconsin, Minnesota or Iowa areas. I live in the west central area but am willing to travel. I started falconry this past year and am flying American Kestrels and hunt European Starlings. I trapped 35 kestrels over 6 weeks of this years trapping season in the quest for a 'keeper' and only noticed 1 that was previously banded. I think I could be of some assistance here but would like to find some local contacts to help me get the ball rolling. I've started contact with the BBL for my Master Permit but was wondering if there was anyone else out there near me who already had a permit. I've got a pile of AK's nearby that need some jewelry. ANY information that could be provided would be great. Thank you all in advance.
