The diagram is brilliant.
I selected inches as my unit of measurement. Does that apply to proportions of the nest, and also the nest height? I entered 300 for my nest height, but we typically measure height in feet or meters. How about if the unit of measurement appears in the box after the number? When I see "20 inches" for nest height but I meant "20 feet" it triggers my attention and I know that I need to make a change.
Are there any impossible values that will get rejected?
Comments:
Good points. There is only
Good points. There is only one place to set measurement units, so that selection applies to all. Changing that would require quite a bit of work to make sure the database has consistent, calculable values stored.
Currently, there are no 'impossible values' blocked by a validation process. It would make sense to establish some minimum values to prevent errors, such as a 1-inch entrance hole.
