NC Nest Boxes

Thanks for your interest! There are only a pair of boxes in central North Carolina are registered to our database, both on the northern outskirts of Charlotte; however, the partner that registered them did so over ten years ago and has never submitted any observation data, so we're not sure if they monitor them at all. The AKP's only active partners in North Carolina are located in the Asheville/Greenville area in western NC. We'd be happy to connect you with these folks if you like, but we certainly understand if this is too far of a drive from your location.

If you have the time and space, installing a box or boxes yourself is an option as well. More on this process, including when and where to install boxes, design blueprints for construction or links to purchase pre-built boxes, how to monitor boxes and submit your data, and much more can all be found on this page of our website. You are also welcome to contact our staff at kestrelpartnership@peregrinefund.org and our staff will be happy to answer any questions you have.
