We started the season with five eggs in each of three boxes, one egg never hatched.
One box is old reliable and has been successfully used for four years in a row. The other two, one was recently erected, were first nested in this year.
We have 23 boxes total with six being wood duck boxes that are occasionally used by kestrel.
We also monitor natural cavity nests and have nestlings in two right now.
What an entertaining project!!
