I am watching the cam on the kestrel in the box on top of the research library for the first time. I notice that she wiggles every few minutes...why is that?
Hello Tweety, thanks for the question!
Imagine sitting still all day long when you are used to being active and athletic! The kestrel is most likely adjusting her sitting position in small ways to keep blood flow going in her legs and body. She could also simply be feeling rather antsy, although her instincts tell her to stay put.
