"We have continued our research on kestrels in Mexico, I have a student with whom we banded 40 kestrels using both aluminum and color bands. In addition, we put flags on the wing of the kestrels (see picture) following John Smallwood technique. We wrote the code MX folowed by numbers in the flag, and in the backside my e-mail (javo_salgado@yahoo.com.mx) for contact.

 

 I was wondering if you could help me to announce this on the American Kestrel Partnership webpage. Maybe someone could have one of these individuals in their next boxes in USA. The study site is in the northern portion of the state of Michoacan, located in central west Mexico, on the pacific slope.
